Sun today released VirtualBox 2.1.0, a major update with exciting new features: among them better 64-bit support, hardware virtualization on the Mac, 3D acceleration, easier networking on Windows and Linux plus full VMDK/VHD support including snapshots. VirtualBox in OpenSolaris 2008.11!
Sun today announced the release of OpenSolaris 2008.11 , and VirtualBox 2.0.6 is now available in the OpenSolaris Extras repository.

!VirtualBox is a family of powerful x86 [wiki:"Virtualization" virtualization] products for enterprise as well as home use. Not only is !VirtualBox an extremely feature rich, high performance product for enterprise customers, it is also the only professional solution that is freely available as Open Source Software under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL).
