VirtualBox panics Solaris 12/Solaris 11.4 systems with Intel Haswell or later due to an SMAP violation => fixed in svn/6.1.x x>18

Attempting to run a VirtualBox client on Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 panics Solaris 12 build 109. Very quickly after the client is started, graphical blotches are seen on the screen, as if the resolution does not match the screen. This has been addressed in revision r143291 of the development branch of VirtualBox and is available now in the development snapshot Testbuilds. The fix has also been backported to the 6.1 branch of VirtualBox as of revision r143350 and is also available now in the 6.1.x Testbuilds. The fix will also be part of the next maintenance release of VirtualBox 6.1.x.
