installed at home, on a laptop with win10x64 & on a home PC with win 7x64... there were also mistakes

Did you see the error that said:
More details may be available in 'D:\Virtual Machines\XP\Logs\VBoxHardening.log'

fwiw my xp vm on win7 64 still works ok, (on 5.2beta2) so maybe not a vb problem? j
