#6349 closed defect (invalid)
asking w7x86 (vm) to restart consistently triggers VERR_VMX_INVALID_GUEST_STATE after Changing the VM state from 'RESETTING' to 'RUNNING'.

host macbook pro running os x 10.6.2 guest w7x86
each time i ask windows 7 to restart (either from msconfig's "you've made changes, do you want to restart", or from start menu, or from the login screen)

Strange. I've never seen that before. Did you update your Win7 guest with all updates from ms or is it a fresh install from dvd?

Odd, I don't remember seeing the question. It turns out that my mailbox overfilled on Mar 10, so it's possible that your question was eaten while I created a replacement mailbox/set up forwarding :(.

Assuming my mac's Date Created field is correct, my w7rc vdi file was created Mar 2, 2010 2:14 am (Finnish time zone?).
Which means this should have been a fresh RC install from the ISO (mounted as a DVD using VirtualBox...).
Unfortunately, I just deleted my w7 beta vdi file yesterday because I was running out of disk space -- but I don't think there's any useful information in it. It's probably possible for me to attach the rc vdi to my current w7 image and try to pull out the Event Viewer log to confirm the install date if you're really curious.
