Error installing on Ubuntu 9.10

I had Virtual Box OSE 3.0.8-dfsg-1ubuntu1 installed, and I wanted the non-OSE version. I uninstalled the OSE version, downloaded the non-OSE version, and tried installing it using gdebi. I am getting the following error from gdebi: "Error: Conflicts with the installed package 'virtualbox-ose' "

That means that you didn't uninstall the virtualbox-ose package properly. Try to uninstall it first. If in doubt do it from the console with dpkg --purge virtualbox-ose. Then install the PUEL version from the website.
